Some women think they are too fat even if their body built looks average. But who are we to dictate them what they feel about their body? I have a friend who’s on the chubby side but I will not consider her fat. However, she was telling me that she wants to slim down. Well, if that’s her way of having a healthier body image and more self-confidence, then I told her to go for it. She had been doing her exercise routines regularly, watches what she eats and also taking some diet pills. I can see that she’s committed into achieving the body she wants. Well, as long as she’s happy with what she’s doing, she has my support as a friend.
You are a good friend for supporting your friend in journey toward a healthier body image and more self confidence. Remind her that she is the same person today as she will be when she achieves her goals and to enjoy the journey toward her goals. Most importantly, remind her that she is your friend now and in the future not because of what she looks like but because of who she is as a person.
